Client Consultations
All new clients wanting to have treatment with Wendy must have an initial consultation before a first reflexology treatment. This lasts approximately 30 minutes onto the 90min initial treatment.
Consultations involve talking through general medical history relevant to treatment results, lifestyle and dietary factors, along with signing of consent forms. All client data taken during consultation is dealt with in a strictly confidential manner, compliant with obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal information is never disclosed to third parties or any employees of Wendy’s and never leaves the walls of the treatment room! Absolutely nobody has access to your personal health information except Wendy, which is passworded. Your personal information is very safe in her hands and she abides by all code of ethics at all times. The last thing you want is people knowing your personal business, we get it! so rest assured, all is well in this regard.
If you would like to delete any personal information that is held about you, you are welcome to contact Wendy on her work phone number at 0851008326 and it will be dealt with promptly.
Cancellation Policy - please note it is strict and I explain why below!
“ I value my time very highly. I also very much value my clients time!! As a result, if for some reason out of my control I cannot be present at your treatment time and I have not given the required 24 hours notice of my inability to attend your appointment, I always offer my clients their booked treatment free of charge upon rescheduling.
However respect goes both ways so please take note of the required cancellation policy and I thank you in advance of your understanding as I am strict with it :
Respectfully, 24 hours notice must be given for changing or cancelling booked appointments. This allows adequate time to fill the appointment slot and offer it to someone else who would like treatment or is on the waitlist.
Cancellations made 24 hours or less before the booked appointment will have 100% of the booked treatment invoiced to them. This fee will be required to be paid to reschedule or re-book a treatment.
No shows (clients who do not show up for their appointment and have not contacted to cancel) are liable for 100% of the booked treatment cost which also must be paid before rescheduling any future treatment.
Why is my policy so strict?
“Please note my cancellation policy is agreed upon and signed for by clients themselves at initial consultation through my T&C and consent forms. It is also in all of my booking emails, here on my website and said in person so it should not come as a surprise to my clients.
Over 50% of my clients are very ill and are dealing with challenging health conditions, and are at times in and out of hospital regularly. When they might feel unwell can be unpredictable, I understand, truly, however I would not be able to run my clinics on unpredictability on clients attending their appointments. 99% of the time, in these circumstances my clients instantly offer to pay for their sessions/my time especially when giving only an hour’s notice or so to cancel and I massively appreciate that.
Others do not, and I have lost clients, not many, but I have even though the therapeutic relationship was strong and healthy because of request for payment for short notice cancellation. This does sadden me, because I care about my clients deeply, however it is out of my control how my clients respond to this request and I absolutely understand when it does not feel right to continue working with me - no questions asked and no judgement passed.
Additionally, cancellations are to be made only through text or calling directly on the work phone number at ph. 0851008326 or through the reflexologywithwendy@gmail.com email. No other means of communication through my other therapy emails or work emails will be accepted as a form of cancellation/desire to change a Reflexology appointment.
Late arrival
Clients who arrive late to their appointments will unfortunately have a reduced treatment time. Full treatment price is charged for the treatment that was booked. If I am late starting your treatment - firstly apologies! however, you will always have your full hour that you took the time to book with me.
Refusal of Treatment
I reserve the right to refuse treatment at my discretion if I feel the therapeutic relationship is not a healthy one.
